Cheryl Hines appeared to allude to husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s sexting scandal during a red carpet event over the weekend.
The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actor was mostly tight-lipped while speaking to the press for the first time since word of her husband’s “inappropriate personal relationship” with journalist Olivia Nuzzi emerged in mid-September.
During the Groundlings 50th Anniversary Event in Los Angeles on Saturday, Hines told Us Weekly she was dealing with “lots of emotions” from the “rumors” that have been swirling around.
The comedian added, “But, it will all be in my book. I’m writing a book. I’ve been taking notes — serious notes!”
Hines, who was wearing her wedding ring at the event, also spoke to People during the celebration for the improv troupe.
Asked how she was doing, she told the magazine she was “feeling good” about life. The “Suburgatory” star stopped short of directly addressing the alleged affair, however.
Reports RFK Jr. and Nuzzi, a well-connected political reporter, engaged in a sexually explicit texting relationship first emerged last month in journalist Oliver Darcy’s newsletter, Status.
Nuzzi’s employer, New York magazine, later announced she was being put on leave for failing to disclose her personal relationship with the former independent candidate for president, whom she had profiled for the publication in November 2023.

In a statement, the outlet told readers, “Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign.”
On Monday, New York magazine announced Nuzzi’s permanent exit from the outlet.
Nuzzi acknowledged having a personal relationship with one of her subjects in a statement, though she did not name Kennedy. She maintained that the romance was “never physical.”
Though Kennedy has denied reports of the affair, multiple publications claimed that Hines was considering divorce in the wake of the sexting scandal.
But the couple appeared to be on strong footing by early October, when they were seen holding hands at the Kennedy family compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, following the death of RFK Jr.’s mother, Ethel Kennedy.
